The hotel is close to Westmead Children’s, but I had terrible sleep because the bed and pillows were uncomfortable.

The room was tidy and the housekeeper for room 206 was lovely and very helpful; we could walk to outlets for lunch and dinner. However, the price for the same room over two days varied by more than $50.00, we had to pay an extra $15.00 a day for parking which wasn’t mentioned initially, the bed was uncomfortable so we slept on the Doona to make it a bit more tolerable, and there was constant 24‑hour noise outside the property that still hummed even with the windows closed.

The room had a dining table, microwave, plates, cups, cutlery, and an iron, but the windows couldn’t open for fresh air, the air‑con blew cool air instead of heating in winter, the lighting was dull and dim, and the curtains were ripped.

The bed was firm, which was fine for me but not for my wife; the noise from drunken residents was loud, especially since the hotel serves the children’s hospital, and it took the police to intervene and sort it out.
