The location, rooms, breakfast, staff, and saunas were all fantastic, and I couldn't find anything I disliked—just missed the cold water plunge after the superb sauna.

The wellness spot was well taken care of, and the location is gorgeous. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the breakfast was tasty with plenty of options, though there was no place to grab a drink or a healthy snack in the wellness area.

The hotel had to shut down because of the wildfires, which was unfortunate.

The place sits nicely in the Hohen Venn, and overall it’s a nice building with good rooms and a pleasant wellness area. What we didn’t like was the very dark décor throughout—black corridors and dark‑grey wallpaper in the rooms. The reception was odd: the front‑desk lady knew we were from Germany but kept speaking French to us, handed us two cotton bathrobes and sauna towels, and casually said she’d keep our ID as a deposit even though she’d already stored our credit‑card details. At checkout an extra €4 was added for parking, which felt bold given the room rate.

The stay was magnificent and unforgettable; the restaurant menu was a bit too minimalistic, but everything offered felt like a gourmet restaurant to me and everything was delicious.
