We landed in Denver International Airport in the afternoon, drove all the way to Salida, and checked into the hotel on a Saturday night while exhausted. The front desk staff was very welcoming and helpful, even suggesting “50 Burger Shakes & Beer” as a quick, nearby spot after we mentioned we didn’t want to drive far. The hotel and our room were nice, clean, and quiet, and we enjoyed the hot tub and the hot breakfast.
