A solid base if you’re only staying one night before heading up to Bromo at 2 am. It offers just the essentials—towels, a dental kit, hand soap, water, and a kettle. The host greeted us and showed us to our room. It’s quiet except for occasional cars or scooters. Walking into town for food is short and easy. We arrived in fog, but the next day we woke to fields and Mount Bromo all around. The shower was barely warm with low pressure. There was a strong paint smell when we arrived, probably because they were finishing up, but the place is in good condition. Nearby land burning caused a lot of smoke in the air, though that’s not the property’s fault. It seems like a newer place that could improve with time.

The location is excellent for visiting Mount Bromo and its viewpoints. The room was small and a bit cold, but asking for an extra blanket kept us warm. The host was very helpful in arranging transport to nearby towns.
