The hotel sits right on the Zambezi river bank, making the spot unbeatable. Juda Haus is 6km from Katima Mulilo, tucked in a safe perimeter. The chalets are roomy, though they could use an upgrade. Breakfast was good and the staff were friendly.

The location was solid. The unit was self‑catering but you could also eat at the resort, and the breakfast was good. The kitchen was poorly equipped and the oven didn’t work. There was no mosquito net, which was very surprising given the severe malaria outbreak the area is recovering from.

Lindi and the team were awesome. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, the food was great, and the location was great too. The deck outside the dining area gets leaves and debris quickly because it’s under a tree; it needs to be swept or cleaned more often than it currently is.

The location, staff and the cabin were great. The riverside deck was dangerous, especially for small children, and there were several large holes in the deck.

Nothing… but really no other choice possible in this border town, which I do not recommend. The self‑drive road between Katima Mulilo and Livingstone is hellish, with a black‑track hill for 3 hours plus the tedious border crossing on the Zambian side. We didn’t enjoy anything; it felt like we were bothering people.
