The location was convenient, the room’s comfort and décor were great, and most importantly the host Koen was friendly and guided us on what to visit; he also served an amazing breakfast. Everything was perfect.

The owner’s personal touch—being present to make breakfast comfortable—was unique; he cooked excellent scrambled eggs and shared a lot about Mechelen with pride. The B&B was very accommodating. The room needed a bit more care and upkeep; wallpaper was peeling with tears in places. The bathroom was fine, but shower walls had a little water scum and the shower head had hair stuck on it. Not major problems, but given the 4‑star rating and nightly cost, a little extra attention to these details would be appreciated.

The accommodation was very comfortable, the host was friendly and informative, and the breakfast was excellent.

Koen really went out of their way to provide us with breakfast, despite a few food intolerances. You don't often find truly freshly squeezed orange juice these days, and I looked forward to it every morning. Information on excursions was readily available, and we could also ask the host for recommendations. Dank je wel!!!
