“A pleasant stay at Queens Bay Hotel in Paphos, though the location is a bit far from the center.”
The staff were welcoming and the food was tasty, but the menu could use more variety. The hotel sits far from the city centre and the buses are often late. Buying a 24‑hour daily bus pass for €6 is recommended—just keep the ticket safe, pay when you board, and use Google Maps to navigate around Paphos.
The view from the hotel is truly amazing and leaves a strong impression. The rooms were cleaned daily and kept in great shape, and the staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and always smiling. We left with a very positive memory and would gladly return. The only drawback was that the drinking water was not clearly marked; it was available on every floor but located in a staff cleaning room, so many guests didn’t know they could use it. Putting that information in a more visible place would help.
We had a fantastic Seaview that was out of this world. Amazing for watching the sunset. The hotel is lovely. It is not as central or close to restaurants/ bars as I'd prefer. However, there was a good bus close by. The room felt a little dated
“Definitely not a 4-star standard”
The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful, even offering a complimentary dinner to make up for some problems, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, the experience was far below a 4‑star standard. From the moment we arrived, the room smelled strongly of mould, had stains on the bed, and the towels were very old. The bathroom was tiny, lacked a toilet brush, and we didn’t receive shower gel, slippers, or the usual toiletries. The gym had a strong mould smell, making it unpleasant to use. Though advertised as beachfront, we were surprised to learn that non‑all‑inclusive guests must pay to use the sunbeds near the sea. The pool area was small, with sunbeds placed very close together, creating a cramped feel. The rooms were not soundproof, so we could hear people in the neighbouring room. The location also lacked proper restaurants or shops. Breakfast was disappointing with limited options and bland food, while dinner was good. There was no information card in the room with the reception phone number or an emergency number. Overall, the online photos did not match the reality, and considering the price and advertised standard, the stay felt like a clear rip‑off. Despite the staff’s efforts, the numerous issues made the holiday feel disappointing overall.
