Everything was wonderful. For the first time on a long trip I could stay here and really feel at home. The warmth of the hosts, their kindness and friendliness were truly exceptional. Chanakya picked me up in the city and immediately showed interesting viewpoints, telling the story of Buddha. Later he suggested interesting attractions that helped me learn more about Sri Lankan culture, including traditional dances and Ayurvedic massage. He took me to both events and patiently waited for me, which was extremely helpful and comfortable. He also helped with further travel in the country, pointing out the best options and sharing his trusted contacts. If someone has no concrete sightseeing plan, they can come here, relax, taste local cuisine (the hosts cook excellently), and then choose what they feel like doing using reliable suggestions. Highly recommend!

The hosts were super friendly and welcoming, and the breakfast was great. The view from the room was lovely, and the little kitten was adorable. However, the stairs leading up to the room were pretty steep, and it would've been nice to have another way in, but we'd already read about that in the comments.

The family and the apes – I'm assuming that's what they were – were great, and the location was perfect, right by the forest and the center of town. It was a lovely spot.
