The staff tried very hard and the view from the hotel was beautiful. The breakfast was individualized, making it suitable for vegetarians. The hotel manager offered me airport transport and a guide for Lalibela, but when I asked twice about the price, I received no information. Later, a guide waited for me at the airport and stayed for a long time because there was no agreement and the management didn't know my arrival time. This approach put me under a very unpleasant pressure to use their services, which I did only because the situation in the city was clearly bad – there were very few tourists and local conditions were poor. I consider this behavior VERY UNACCEPTABLE and unprofessional, and I warn other tourists to be cautious. Additionally, the hotel is located on the outskirts of town, not at the spot marked on the map, so the walking distance to churches and the city center is relatively large.

The view was amazing, the staff were all pleasant and helpful, and we booked a tour guide and driver through the hotel as a package deal, which was a great price and made the trip even more special. Mosquito nets would have been helpful because evenings were hot and we had to open the patio door for air.
