Ghent River Hotel

The comfort, location, and overall quality of the hotel were excellent! I highly recommend it and found the prices very reasonable for the quality. The rooms are spacious, well equipped, and comfortable. However, a few aspects fell short of my expectations (given everything else was top quality). One of the rooms I booked for four people had a noticeable odor, probably because it had been closed for too long. The single bed mattress was not very comfortable. The bathroom lacked a ventilation system—only a window that was too cold to keep open—so the steam made the whole room damp constantly.

The spot is super central and the breakfast is great.

“Great location, helpful and friendly staff, comfortable rooms and good breakfast. :)”

The breakfast room offered fantastic views. The breakfast itself was good, the location was excellent, the room was comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. They also sell Ghent museum tickets on site, which is great value for money. I was disappointed that my room didn’t have a river view, but it was quiet and comfortable.

“Te duur voor een kwalitatieve nachtrust”

The location was good. There was no insulation in the room, it felt like the upstairs neighbor was in my room, and there was a lot of noise from night until morning.
