The staff were attentive, the rooms were comfy, and breakfast and service were excellent. The place was quiet and cozy. The hotel is a bit far from the city centre on foot—about a 15‑minute walk to the market—but taxis are available, and you can also rent bikes with the help of the hotel staff.

The rooms were large, beautiful, and comfortable. The restaurant served tasty food, and the staff and owner were excellent. The laundry service was too expensive, priced like a 5‑star hotel in Yangon.
We arrived at 10 pm at the junction; they arranged a tuk‑tuk for us, set up a nice boat trip on the lake, and a bus back to Yangon. Everything was perfectly clean, the food was excellent, and we would stay there again—perfect choice!
We had a fantastic stay at Thanakha Hotel. Renaud and the team were very friendly and accommodating, the food was great, the rooms were very comfortable and spacious, and the canal‑side location was perfect for a lake trip. It’s the best place to stay in Nyaungshwe!

This was one of the most beautiful hotels I’ve stayed in! The service was great too. It’s safe around Inle and there’s so much to do, so don’t be afraid to come— you won’t regret it!
