The location was good. We booked two rooms but only one was available when we arrived in the evening, leaving our friends stranded with their luggage at night. The property didn’t cancel, so I wasn’t sure if I would still be charged for the room we didn’t get. The caretaker seems to live in the shared areas, sleeping on the couch in the living room, which isn’t welcoming for other guests. I couldn’t find the washing machine. The onsite guy didn’t speak any English or Russian, making communication impossible.
“Чудное место.”
I loved everything—location, the room itself, and the huge terrace overlooking the city and mountain. The room was clean, cozy, and quiet. Arkadiy greeted us, a very attentive and helpful person, and even though we checked in late, he was kind and polite. Nothing went wrong.
We arrived late by train and needed to stay until 4 am. The hotel sits 12 minutes from the train station, on the 3rd floor of a residential building. The room was clean and the plumbing worked fine. There were no chairs or luggage trays in the room, but there is a shared area with tables, a kitchen, and a washing machine. The soundproofing was poor; a group at the kitchen laughed loudly at night, waking us up and preventing us from sleeping. The pillows were too firm and the bed had sharp corners that hurt our feet. The view from the windows faced the courtyard. The price was 150 lari—expensive for the level, and this was our seventh hotel in Georgia, so we have a benchmark.
It was an awesome experience. The staff were very nice. The place was sparkling clean in the middle of the city centre with a beautiful view.
Everything was fantastic.
