“Le bonheur est dans le pré”

The hosts let us share their little paradise in the Provence countryside, at the end of a path far from civilization, surrounded by vineyards, pine forest, and their animals. In hot weather, note that the room is not air‑conditioned.

“decevant .”

The setting is very nice and the owners’ welcome is also pleasant. The place is especially quiet, which is a plus for resting. The heating is a tiny wood stove; we slept one particularly cold night and had to keep adding 5 or 6 small logs to keep the fire going all night, which was a joy to spend the night tending the fire so we wouldn’t freeze. For me, the night is meant for sleeping. Apart from that, the room’s equipment is basically non‑existent: no floor mat to protect against the icy floor, the entrance window cannot be closed due to poor design, the entrance door doesn’t lock, there’s no mirror opposite the sink so you can’t shave, no door between the toilet and the bedroom, no kettle, no coffee maker, no tray as promised, no TV, and no hair dryer as mentioned in the room description. In short, it might not be unpleasant in summer for some people, but definitely not worth it in winter, especially at this price!
