“Come in high season”
I visited in September during low season, so it was quiet, but I expect it to be great in high season. I booked a private room, which was nice, and the staff were friendly. Still, the first day had no water, so they gave me a bucket and a water bottle to shower in. At 22.00 the Wi‑Fi vanished, and at 23.00 the air‑con started making a jet‑engine noise; lowering it caused a power outage in my room. A frog nearby kept mimicking a landline call every 10 seconds, which was maddening, not the monkeys’ fault since they’re in the jungle. I only slept an hour, decided to skip the last day, and found another place. Also, 130 pesos for a beer and the same price for water felt a bit overpriced. In high season it could be a great party spot, but it wasn’t for me.
