“Schön”
Everything was tidy and orderly, yet some things could have been a touch more modern—perhaps the curtains, lamps, and the chair and table in the room.

The hostess was very experienced, calm, helpful, informative, friendly, open, and more. We had paid in advance, but there was no fuss about showing your passport at check‑in for the right reason; the hotel is in DE, the guest comes from NL, so both are EEC, so no hassle. The heavy use of wood in the interior gives the hotel a bit of an Austrian winter‑sports vibe. The room was very neat, with a good large bed, good(!) pillows, and a very clean bathroom. Everything worked too. The breakfast buffet was delicious!

The location was nice and good, and we had to drive 10 minutes to Winterberg, which we had checked out because it still fit our price range; the view was beautiful and the place was well situated on a road for quick access. It was very clean and neat, and the staff were very friendly. On the second day we were in a hurry and managed to shower while our food was already prepared in the kitchen; we arrived and the food was warm on the table, which was also very tasty! Everything was super organized and tidy. It was a shame we didn’t have time to try the sauna. The only downside was the location, because we had to drive to Winterberg, but that’s not the fault of the owners. If you want a drink, you have to take a taxi; the buses are, however, well reachable.
Good hotel, good room, good breakfast and good dinner, staff very friendly. Nothing was off-putting about the hotel. If I could charge my electric car at the hotel, the stay would have been perfect.
