This place is a classic British inn, charmingly rustic with a pub downstairs; the staff were friendly and the train station was a short walk away. The value for money was solid and there was nothing to complain about.

The room was clean, airy, and the pheasant décor was a nice touch; the breakfast was top quality and the staff were helpful and friendly. Even though it’s close to the town centre it was quiet enough for me to sleep without disturbance. I have no complaints.

Everything I needed was there, but the noise level was terrible all night long, even during the week. We couldn’t have breakfast in the restaurant downstairs during the week.
