5 Vatican Rooms

I was very disappointed. We stayed and found cockroaches and ants in the room, including filth and insects under the bed. The cleaning was lacking, and the conditions were far from what we expected. Hygiene should be a priority for any accommodation. We reported the issue and were told the room had been cleaned, but when we returned, the filth under the bed was still there and we found more cockroaches. The problem was not resolved even after reporting it. I do not recommend this place. Additionally, there was a very closed, musty smell.

“Petit mais équipé et confort”

The location is close to the Vatican, just a 10‑minute walk, and the area is safe and quiet. The room was clean, and I was relieved when the mold smell I’d seen in some old reviews turned out to be a myth. The host was very kind and welcoming, and I highly recommend her. The place offers great value for money. I recommend it to anyone looking for accommodation near the Vatican and the Vatican Museums at a more affordable price than other nearby options. The view was not a problem for me, but if you expect a view, know that the room is in a semi-basement. Nothing special to note otherwise. The ventilation noise bothered me while sleeping, as the system didn’t turn off and was quite loud at night. It would be good to have a switch to turn it off during the night. Note: contact the host directly via WhatsApp with the number listed in the ad.

The owner was very attentive and the room was very clean. The downside was that the room was in a basement with no ventilation, so an extractor ran all day and made a noise that prevented me from resting at night.

“Non credo di ritornare”

I liked how close the hotel was to the city center, but the room was in a very dingy basement. Some guests made loud noises and talked loudly in the corridor late into the night. The sink was tiny, so you could barely wash your face without soaking your legs and feet.

The cleaning was good and the courtyard had nice air conditioning, but it took me a while to locate the hotel on the intercom.
