“A lovely location but the caravan needs updating.”
The spot was gorgeous. However, the double bed had a thin mattress that was uncomfortable, two hallway lights and the bathroom mirror light were out, and the living‑room smoke alarm didn’t work when my husband tested it.
The location was good. I sent a private message to the owner about the caravan, which was of poor quality. The area outside the caravan was filthy and it needed a lot of TLC.
The location, the facilities, and the quiet surroundings were all excellent. Nothing to complain about.

Only one of the three TVs worked, which was a small plus. The caravan site and its facilities were nice, but you had to pay extra to use them, and the beach was pleasant. The stay was disappointing and misleadingly advertised. The property was called a “lodge,” yet we stayed in an older static caravan among others, far from the lodge shown in the photos. Cleanliness and maintenance were poor: a strong musty odor filled the caravan; carpets, seats, bedding, the oven, trays, and kitchenware were stained; net curtains were yellowed and torn; there was rust, corrosion, and noticeable wear; the exterior was poorly maintained; only one TV worked; some lights were out; some windows wouldn’t close or lock properly—one even lacked a lock; the key lockbox was left loose outside. The listing promised a hot tub that wasn’t there, claimed checkout at 11 am while we were told it was 10 am, and advertised leisure facilities that actually cost an extra £66. We paid the £66 in advance, but received no confirmation or instructions, and the contact number was out of service. The owner finally replied that the passes had to be collected from reception on the evening of our arrival, so we missed the first day. The owner’s response time was very slow, sometimes taking over a week. Older reviews mention similar long‑standing problems like faulty TVs and an unsecured key box, and these issues persisted despite previous reports.
