The location between the preserves was nice, and there were plenty of things to do nearby. The convenience store was close, the house was large and comfortable, and it was very clean and well‑equipped with a kitchen and the like. The host was considerate and provided small chairs for the kids. The rooms didn’t have proper separation (no doors, just curtains), so with little ones it was hard to keep them from falling asleep while we still wanted to eat. In the rooms with window‑air‑conditioning, the windows weren’t sealed properly, letting in a lot of cold at night. The curtains also didn’t block out the light, so we woke up to sunrise every morning (which is normal in Japan). There were a few missing local recommendations on what to do around, but overall it was great.
