“Excellent close to waterfront”

The hotel sits just a block from the waterfront, which is great. However, the breakfast hot items had a noticeable wait time because the staff were short; the front‑desk receptionist was juggling both the front desk and the breakfast buffet. I think extra staff during breakfast hours would have made things smoother, and the seating area was cramped on weekends when the hotel was full. 8.0/10

The bed was comfortable, the location was excellent, especially if you want to walk around the main area of Orillia, and the staff were friendly. During breakfast there seemed to be only one person at the front desk, so she had to check people out, restock the entire breakfast area, and handle the garbage—all of which was a lot for her, but she managed it well and calmly.

“We have been coming to this location for the passed 3 years, this year we were disappointed.”

I’ve stayed here three times now, and the location remains great. The room, however, could have been cleaner; it needed a good vacuum and overall cleaning because there was dog hair and crumbs under the desk and under the TV, and something sticky on the top of the fridge tabletop. Breakfast used to be much better—this morning there were no eggs, and the day before there was no bacon or sausage, so I’m not sure what happened. I was disappointed with breakfast this time, and the room could have been cleaner overall. 6.0/10

“It was ok, but not returning. We’ve been here before and had a more spacious room and good breakfast options but this ti”

The location is convenient and the bed is comfy, but staying in the basement for $300 feels off‑balance. The “Bring That” feature wasn’t visible when I booked, so I only discovered it later and the room was very noisy with cars passing by. Breakfast options were sparse: there were no hot items, only empty hot trays at 8:45 am, and refilling took so long that my husband and I ended up eating bagels with cream cheese. Paying $300 should mean better choices. The toilet in room 102 took about 5 minutes to flush, running loudly for that whole time, and the shower had a lot of rust on the bottom tiles. 5.0/10

The hotel’s location is good. Breakfast items weren’t refilled, and several people had to wait more than 20 minutes for refills or gave up waiting.
