“Le meraviglie del Molise.”
The Masseria is gorgeous, set in a breathtaking landscape, the new building boasts spotless rooms and bathrooms, and there’s a beautiful, simple kitchen for guests where we could even make a minimal breakfast offered by the owners though it wasn’t advertised. We stayed in a room with a little balcony overlooking the stunning Molise hills, Montenero, and the sea in the distance. The only catch is that you need a car, and reaching the upper‑floor rooms requires an internal staircase that can look daunting at first; it is indeed a challenge for anyone with mobility issues, though my 80‑year‑old mother managed it with a bit of effort and care.
“Relax natura silenzio”
We spent five days completely relaxed and tranquil surrounded by nature; the minimal, essential décor was thoughtfully done and matched the outdoors, the tiny terrace offered spectacular views day and night, the shared kitchen serving all three rooms was very handy and fully equipped, the room had air‑conditioning, pets were welcome and there’s a nearby dog boarding run by the same family, and we’re grateful to Claudia and her family for the experience. The downside was that, as soon as we entered, the room was spotless but being out in the countryside meant lots of insects, and despite the price not being cheap, cleaning wasn’t included, so by the fifth day we noticed some floor dirt and had never had the sheets changed, only the towels once.
The location is fine on a hillside with breathtaking views of the picturesque hilltown of Montenero di Bisaccia and, in the distance, the Adriatic coast. Guests stay on the top half of the renovated residence, which boasts modern amenities. Host Claudia, who lives on the first floor, is thoughtful, attentive, and eager to please. She’s also a dog lover. Guests will enjoy the three resident dogs and the nearby kennel. A very pleasant experience; we would come back.
