The spot is great and the restaurant is top‑class, the spa is decent, and the house and garden are gorgeous – it really feels special to stay there. The room, however, is mostly IKEA furniture and not very well thought out; it’s spacious enough for a family but could use more effort to be truly usable, and we had to bring our own corkscrew. The bar shut down earlier than we expected, and grabbing a take‑away drink was a hassle, even though the friendly receptionist let us take a bottle of wine. A classy hotel should keep its bar open until midnight and offer bar snacks.

We felt incredibly comfortable at the hotel; everything was lovingly restored and tastefully furnished. The staff were very attentive and friendly, especially the wonderful SPA area. The breakfast buffet was excellent, delicious, and varied, and we enjoyed a large, comfortable room with very cozy beds.

The dinner was good. The hotel has no elevator, the breakfast starts at 7:30, there is no night staff, and the scale is quite high.
