Located in Dún Laoghaire's seafront heritage area, Haddington House Hotel is a five-floor Victorian terraced building founded in the 1850s. This 40-bedroom hotel offers a unique blend of intimacy, understated splendour, and contemporary amenities, including a Parlour cocktail bar, Oliveto restaurant, and garden with coastal views. I was upgraded to a larger room with a freestanding tub that I adored with bath salts. The location was great, and parking was available.

It was the perfect spot to celebrate our anniversary. The room was stunning, the staff went above and beyond, and the location was exactly what we wanted. There was nothing about our stay that I didn’t like; everything surpassed our expectations. I couldn’t have asked for more.

Wonderful area to stay in just south of Dublin. Lovely location with plenty of places to walk to. Friendly staff. Good reaturants within walking distance. The smell in the room, and not being able to take a drink order correctly in the bar. August/September, 2026. When we arrived at our room, it smelled very strongly of mildew. We called the desk and they responded immediately by providing a variety of sprays and masking agents. Anyone who has dealt with mildew knkows that just makes the situation worse. They could not offer us another room as they were fully booked. The smell was a nuisance as my wife was already under the weather and wanted to rest. After we checked out, they did inspect and located a slow water leak from the bathroom and offered us a 50 Euro discount. I am not upset with the staff's response or efforts. They were very good and followed up with me days after I checked out. Just dissapointed as this was one of the hotels we really looked forward to visiting

The hotel is perfect. Everything is great—from the location to the décor, comfort, amenities, and bed. The towels smell good, the robes are soft and pleasant. The coffee and fresh lemons to add to your drink… I could keep listing the positives. The view of the pier and the sea is indescribable, and it’s only 10 minutes from Dart station. The daily housekeeping team wasn’t always meticulous or up to standard: one day they didn’t wash the glasses, another day the toilet… I understand the staff are often under great pressure, but the hotel management should consider this because those details spoil what could have been a perfect experience. Nevertheless, for us this hotel will remain our permanent base in Ireland. It’s decided!
