The outdoor lawn and children’s playground were nice, yet there were no ground‑floor rooms, and I was assigned a mountain‑view room with no private sitting area, which defeats the lake‑front appeal. The internet was extremely slow and dropped after a few minutes, the TV cable was broken, and mobile reception was weak. The AC drain in the bathroom kept dripping, leaving the room perpetually wet.

“Would not stay again”

Pros:* 1. *Room size is large/spacious* 2. *AC worked fine* 3. *Staff member “Mammu” was outstanding*: One staff member introduced himself as Mammu. He was extremely courteous and helpful throughout our stay. He kept running around to assist, tried to pick up our luggage, and was the only reason we could get through the day here. His attitude and effort deserve full credit despite all other issues. 1. *Cleanliness was unacceptable*: Used towel from previous guest still hanging in washroom. Bed sheets, carpets, curtains all stained and worn out. 2. *Bed bugs*: Woke up with multiple red bites all over body. Bed was infested. Had to stay up all night. 3. *Room not ready*: Check-in was chaotic. No staff to guide parking. Room was not cleaned/prepped for new guest. 4. *Maintenance issues*: Bathroom door screeching and wouldn’t close all night. No exhaust fan in washroom. Connecting door to next room = all noise came through, zero privacy. 5. *TV didn’t work*. 6. *Pest problem*: Big biting flies/bees in hallways, lawns, and even breakfast area. Not maintained despite large green property. Worrying with a small child. 7. *Breakfast charging policy*: Complimentary breakfast = 1 egg per person quota. Ordered omelette + fried eggs for family. Staff charged extra for “extra egg”. Never seen this policy at any hotel. Felt nickel-and-dimed. 8. *No family facilities*: Despite large property, not suitable for families/wife/kids. No proper common areas. *Overall:* We came to Lake View Hotel & Resort, Khanpur for lake views with our 4-year-old. It turned into the worst hotel experience we’ve had due to bed bugs, unclean rooms, broken bathroom, and constant flies. The only positive was Mammu, the staff member who showed genuine care and tried his best to help us at every step. Management needs to fix cleanliness, maintenance, and pest control urgently before this property is safe for families. With better options available at Khanpur Dam, we cannot recommend this hotel and will never stay here again
