The staff and service were great, and the hotel’s amenities were solid; I’ll definitely book again for my next trip.

The property was beautiful, the staff friendly, the beds and pillows comfortable, and the toilet was fancy; breakfast was excellent, and shops and restaurants were within walking distance—everything was good.

We celebrated our 35th anniversary in a room that featured an “I love You” balloon on the seat, numerous red round balloons, and a heart‑shaped centerpiece on the bed with rose petals, plus a fruit basket carefully selected for diabetes and a handwritten, decorated card—thanks to Noel from the Welcome Experience Team for making us feel truly welcomed. Front‑desk staff Catherine, Carmen, and Theresa were warm, friendly, and helpful. We chose to dine at SAMTOM on the 19th floor because we had no reservation, and the staff, especially Zora, confirmed we could enjoy Hainan Flavours; Lui Lui Mei at SAMTOM gave us full attention and the food was excellent and creatively presented, which we enjoyed very much. The next morning we went to Kitchen Table on level 2, where only the chef greeted us with a smile. At departure, Bell Min helped us book a Grab, loaded our luggage, and advised us on the fare and travel time to the airport. However, there was no assistance for our three pieces of luggage, one handheld, and one backpack. I was walking with a walking stick and a male staff member in a black uniform passed us without offering help. We struggled to the front desk, which has four counters, standing in the center without knowing where to go until Catherine called us to register; she was pleasant. No one showed us to the room, so we struggled with all the switches for a while. At 8.30 am we went for breakfast, which was disappointing; there were about ten service staff but none greeted us or offered a smile, though they were busy and efficient at clearing tables. Only the chef greeted us with a smile. A few years ago I stayed at the W in New York and it was a WOW experience, but unfortunately I can’t find that here.

The rooms are large, clean, and comfortable, and the service was great; the location isn’t the most convenient for shopping, but a quick Didi ride takes you to plenty of options.
