Breakfast was great, the fireplace in the room was a nice touch, and when the town lost power I was glad the hotel had a generator; I expected a more indoor setting, so I didn’t walk outside to my room, and I’m not a fan of the dogs that were everywhere; there was no TV and no ice machine.

Guests were greeted with a cocktail (mine had a few tiny bugs, so I poured it out, but it didn’t ruin my mood), my room was extremely clean, and the bar was self‑service.

The room was lovely; we lit a fire and played records while relaxing on the back patio, and the outdoor tub was a nice way to enjoy an evening with a glass of wine from the bar!
