“Quiet cozy hotel in the suburb of Khujand”
Even though the rate was reasonable, the room was solidly built with a refrigerator, a desk, soundproof walls and an air‑conditioner that worked very well; the maximum hot shower temperature was not high, which was fine for me because the outside temperature was scorching and I prefer a cooler shower. The floor of the guest rooms looks like an old school dormitory. The buffet breakfast was basic but offered plenty of fresh fruit such as grapes, plums, watermelon, melon, etc. every morning. The reception staff were helpful and managed my inquiries and requests. However, when I checked in, the front desk guy couldn't find my booking confirmation in their records and asked me to show it himself. They wouldn't accept a credit card and only took cash, even though their description says they accept credit cards. The hotel is a bit far from downtown Khujand, but there is a frequent bus no. "3" to/from the downtown main street that stops in front of the hotel; it costs 3 TJS one way and takes about 30 minutes. Do not take bus no. "3a" from downtown, because that bus runs on a different route and does not pass this hotel.
