“Verrassend leuk verblijf!”
A pleasant tent in a great location—no luxury expected, but the stay is atmospheric and enjoyable. We were warmly received with some explanation, and a chilled bottle of white wine was waiting in a small fridge near the stable, where the toilets and showers are also located. The setup is nice: under the awning beside the tent, two chairs, a small table, and some reading material; on the other side, a table with essential kitchen gear—plates, kettle, small stove, coffee maker, waste bin, and more. Inside, a small table with cutlery, plenty of space, and a good bed. We were there at the start of May with pleasant weather, but it got quite crisp at night. Extra fleece blankets made it fine. We brought our own electric grill but didn’t use it. Being in nature means you’ll hear early‑morning bird songs, an occasional crowing rooster, and the background mooing of cows. We stayed two nights, then hopped over to Texel for a day and also enjoyed the sunset from a nearby hill.
Nothing else! If you’re a bit prepared and enjoy camping, just bring a toilet paper roll and some dish soap. That’s all you need. When we left, the only tip was an extra fleece blanket, as there was only one; our own blankets proved handy for the cool nights.
