“Beautiful, basic and right on the beach.”
We arrived to find the place we booked was full because someone else extended their stay, but we were moved next door—also owned by the family—and stayed there; both places are great, simple, rustic, no frills, very basic but comfortable, with good WiFi, clean, and right on the beach. If you’re considering going to Ocam Ocam, do it—you won’t regret it. We hired a bike from Angel in Coron; the drive was fine, the last km is a dirt track, so be careful, but don’t miss this place. It’s utterly beautiful, charming, authentic, and a slice of life before tourism changed the world for the worst; it’s the perfect escape from crowds, and it was just us and a few others staying at the beach, idyllic. Sadly we had some inconsiderate numpties turn up and party all night; when you’re staying in a wooden shack you hear everything, so they got a piece of my mind at 2:30 am when I had enough. I would have appreciated the owners dealing with this, especially since they told them to turn music off at 10 pm; other nights it was peaceful.
