The lodge felt luxurious but the price was high. The staff were all amazing, especially Francesco who helped when my daughter fell ill, and we adored our guide Rudolf. This was our second trip; we spotted the Big Five within 24 hours, making it a great introduction for teens. The accommodation looked beautiful and felt luxurious.

The staff’s friendliness and the food were extraordinary, and we were warmly welcomed. Rudolf’s game drives were super informative, teaching us a lot about animals and plants, and we saw the Big Five. The online photos of the lodge don’t reflect how beautiful the property and rooms actually are, with colors overly orange; I’d invest in a good photographer.

Elandela Private Game Reserve was an absolutely incredible experience! Every detail surpassed our expectations, from the wonderful staff and beautiful reserve to the delicious meals and unforgettable wildlife encounters. The connection with nature and the presence of wild animals made every moment truly special. A special thanks to Francisco for the warm welcome and to Rudolph, our outstanding safari guide, whose knowledge and expertise made our game drives sensational. We were lucky enough to get close to all of the Big Five, creating memories we will cherish forever. Everything was simply perfect, and we cannot recommend Elandela enough. It was unforgettable!

The lodge was very beautiful and well‑maintained. We stayed for three nights and paid for an upgrade to the Honeymoon Suite. It’s listed as 80 m², but that’s not accurate; the spacious bathroom, outdoor shower, and veranda add to the size. The food was delicious, the staff friendly and attentive, and the game drives exciting, with Hapiness showing deep knowledge of the animals. However, some furniture is worn and needs urgent investment if the lodge wants to remain a luxury property. The owner doesn’t greet guests. The Honeymoon Suites are always two rooms in one building. The walls are so thin that even at normal volume you feel the other room’s occupants. The mattresses don’t match the frame size.
