The spot was ideal, with everything you need nearby, and the lake was fun for the kids as well as dad with the slides and water park; there’s also a playground and a small water paradise for the little ones. Unfortunately, the chalet for six only had four chairs inside, and we couldn’t get more even after asking, plus the pots and pans were too small for six people and no larger ones were available, so we had to buy a bigger pan and pot ourselves.

The staff were friendly, the lake was beautiful, and the shows and kids’ entertainment were fantastic. The area is well situated, shopping is close, and there are excellent trails for dogs; with kids you can also do hiking with an adventure park. Sunscreen and bed linens are provided, and the playgrounds are lovely—all were spotless. The Wi‑Fi barely worked, the chalets offered almost no storage, and at the on‑site restaurant we had to walk in when we were outside to order at the counter; we did that three times and it was the same each time. The snack bar had a very nice woman, but we waited 50 minutes just to place an order.

The location is spot on - we're close to Bruges and Ostend, which made exploring easy. That said, the little houses did show some wear and tear, and the heating stopped working for a bit, which was a bit of a nuisance.

Unfortunately, my experience was really disappointing for several reasons. The service was very poor and the toilets weren't working. They didn't even provide basic things like an outdoor umbrella or sheets - when I asked for an umbrella, they only provided it if I paid a financial guarantee. To make matters worse, they deducted a third of my deposit for supposedly using extra services that I didn't use. Needless to say, I won't be back.
