We booked through the platform, but when we arrived they claimed they couldn’t locate our reservation. They even gave us a WhatsApp number that didn’t exist. I won’t use that service again. When we asked locals if they knew the place, they said no. It felt like a scam to us.

The location and view are amazing! The only downside is that there’s no daily housekeeping service, but that doesn’t take away from the charm of the place.

The neighborhood sits right in the romantic old town of Tropea, on the cliff edge with a stunning view of Isola Bella and the sea. The room is spacious, modern, and stylishly furnished. In the Nonnarosa cafeteria you can enjoy a fine Italian breakfast while taking in the great view.

The accommodation is great in a prime location. It’s a beautifully renovated old house with four apartments, giving it a very individual feel. The apartment was comfortably spacious for two people. From a small window you get an unobstructed sea view. A lovely bar with a terrace is just around the corner. Despite the very central location, the apartment remains quiet. The included breakfast is delivered via voucher to a café a few meters away, offering a solid Italian breakfast selection and good coffee. We stayed in touch with the host via WhatsApp after the key handover, which was quick and convenient. We were very satisfied with our stay. What might be useful to know: the otherwise well-equipped bathroom lacks a few wall hooks. The apartment’s layout is angular, and the shower access isn’t suitable for people with mobility issues—though that’s a general issue in Tropea. The bed is unusually firm. The apartment is a bit hard to find; the easiest way is to go over the terrace at the bar on Kanonenplatz. It can’t be reached by car, and parking in Tropea is generally a problem. There are a few free spots on the edge of the city, but you’ll have to carry your luggage through town. A description of possible parking spots and a good route to the apartment would be helpful.
