I stayed a week in a place that’s super convenient, just a stone’s throw from Auroville bakery cafe where you can grab a cheap breakfast; they only take card payments, so I had to rely on local help and sometimes the waiter. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and I was happy with them after a full week. The reception staff were very pleasant, they even drove me to a spot where I could rent a bike and helped me sort out any issues. Once at night they threw a party on the premises, but when I asked them to turn the music off they did so immediately.
