The shower is really small, only suitable for people who are short or slim; taller or heavier guests will find it cramped. Still, the cottage itself is very nice.
It turned out to be a terrible place to stay. The room was tiny and stank; the photos on the site were misleading. We arrived despite a weather alert because the host assured us it was safe, but the drive from Vik felt unsafe. When we got there, we realized we hadn’t booked the room we thought we had; the website photos made it seem like a full apartment, but it was just a small room in a shared unit. The door to the room opens right into the kitchen, and the lingering cooking smell filled the space. We couldn’t tolerate it, so we opened the balcony door for a bit, but it didn’t help. The host was unwelcoming, saying “it’s what it is” and refusing responsibility for the odor. I expected him to at least check the room or offer an air freshener, but he didn’t care. I spoke with his wife over the phone, and she claimed the kitchen smell didn’t reach the room, which was nonsense. Despite the harsh weather and late hour, we drove back to Vik for a proper place to stay. We were extremely disappointed with the facility, the look, the smell, and especially how our complaint was handled. The host knows the location is remote with no alternatives, and they take advantage of that. We didn’t get a refund. Don’t stay there!
“War super”
The accommodation felt somewhat luxurious and everything was in harmony. It was a bit pricey, but acceptable.
The little cabin, tucked among the mountains, felt completely in tune with nature—cozy and homey.
Everything was clean, simple, and exactly what I needed. The thermostat kept resetting to 18 degrees every few hours, making it hard to sleep because I can’t tolerate temperatures below 20 degrees.
