A small cottage in the heart of a lovely village; the accommodation was great – it had everything you need. Évelyne was sweet and greeted you with open arms. The only downside was how hot it was during our stay, which isn’t anyone’s fault. Maybe offer a ground‑floor option, as it’s more comfortable when the heat is intense.

The bathroom was dirty, with mold and old equipment that needs updating. The electricity seemed questionable. The dishware set was rather basic. We only took our breakfasts, so that was fine. I don’t recommend it for a holiday stay.

The location and pleasant surroundings were nice, 30 minutes from the recommended Château de Chambord. The host was available. The cottage was spacious, though I expected a small fenced outdoor area that I couldn’t quite see. The bedding was comfortable. It’s odd that the church bell rings more than seven times at 7 am – a regional quirk? For four people, I would have liked a larger stove, but the rest of the kitchen equipment was perfect. And why not a bigger shower? It does its job, though.

The location relative to Chambord and Orleans was good. The beds were comfortable. The accommodation felt a bit dated, with a makeshift cooking corner using a two‑burner camping stove, and especially the rooms under the roof were very hot without insulation. There were fans and coolers, but not enough; temperatures reached 28/30 °C.
