Kindale House in Helmsdale offers spacious rooms with private baths, TV, electric kettle, wardrobe and carpeted floors. Guests benefit from free Wi‑Fi, daily housekeeping, special‑diet menus, hairdryer and complimentary toiletries. A full English or Irish breakfast, including vegetarian options, receives high praise. The hotel lies 25 km from Dunrobin Castle and Laidhay Croft Museum, and 59 km from John O’Groats Airport.

Sharon and Tommy were incredibly attentive and friendly, handling every question and request without any trouble; I’ll definitely return when I’m back in Sutherland.

The room was nice and spacious, and the host was friendly, but the staircase was too narrow to haul large suitcases up.

Everything was perfect: the hosts’ kindness, the cleanliness of the accommodation, and especially the delicious breakfast.
