The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are nice. The food is fresh and tasty, but a bit pricey. The hotel complex is a bit dated. The pool loungers have broken legs, the cushions are torn, and all of them are covered in bird droppings, so we couldn’t lie down directly by the pool. There are many dead insects floating on the pool surface, which was really disgusting even though we’re not easily offended. In the room our sheets had stains; we asked for new ones and were given the covers to change ourselves. During the day the air conditioning doesn’t work due to poor power supply, but there is a ceiling fan. From 18 or 19 o’clock a generator is started. Overall the hotel is okay – for a 5‑star hotel at this price (and the photos) one expects more.

The location is great, close to Tayrona, with large rooms, a nice pool, and a big park. The staff were disastrous, only somewhat friendly—probably because of a language barrier—and they didn’t speak English, which was a shock when we arrived at 20 H30 without prior notice, even though the hotel had arranged a taxi for us (that part worked fine). We found the doors closed when we got there and had to ring for a while before a lady opened them, clearly surprised or annoyed to see us and still not speaking a word of English. The welcome was cold. Although the hotel is listed as 5‑star on booking, it doesn’t live up to that; it’s more like a lodge or “refugio” as they say on their site. It has a beautiful pool, a nice park, and spacious rooms, but the upkeep is minimal and the staff are almost nonexistent. The value for money is poor, and prices should be lowered further in the off‑season.

The hotel sits in a great spot by a calm, clean river and is close to Tayrona, and the staff are friendly. When we arrived the gate was stuck and nobody opened it, so we felt a bit abandoned. The pool was a little dirty at first, but the staff cleaned it up quickly when we mentioned it. Overall the service was solid, even though the garden looks a bit neglected.

The place is all about nature and scenery, especially the river and the hydro massages.
