The place was overall clean, the bed comfy and the room spacious; Veronica was kind and helpful, and the flat was calm in a quiet neighbourhood. However, the check‑in time felt too late and the check‑out time too early, with a 6‑hour window that seemed excessive for preparing the flat for the next guest. The host was inflexible about check‑in, so my first day in Verona was somewhat wasted; a heads‑up if cleaning finished early would have been appreciated. Communication before arrival was poor: I got a message 25 minutes before check‑in asking for ID to gain access, assuming tourists have constant internet access and can respond on such short notice. Check‑in instructions were not sent beforehand. The flat had a lot of unused space; the piano or the table with all the guest messages could have been turned into a functional sink for washing dishes.
