The place was spotless and the beds were super comfy, plus the rooms were spacious. When we got there they tried to overcharge us beyond the agreed rate; after showing the price on our app they corrected it. Still, we’re now shocked to see that the accommodation cancelled our booking and the system is asking us if we actually cancelled, which we didn’t – we stayed and paid for the stay.
The location is very quiet by the lagoon, and at night you can easily spot the Milky Way. Breakfast is more than “American” – there are fruit, eggs, jam, butter, cheese, coffee and tea. The electric shower isn’t comfortable; the water is either too little and warm or too much and cold. They plan to replace it with a normal gas boiler.

I had a terrible experience: despite booking weeks ahead and exchanging several confirmation messages with the property, a few hours before check‑in I was told the reservation had to be cancelled because the place was undergoing renovations. They’d known about this for days, maybe weeks, yet never informed us, leaving my group of 13 without accommodation. Unprofessional, don’t trust them.

We spent two nights here with my dad after arriving from Cusco city and loved the peace by the lake; the staff were utterly charming and helpful, which made a huge difference and we’re very grateful for their special attention, and I’d gladly return if I’m ever back in the area. The only downside was the lack of public transport, but that isn’t the hotel’s fault.
