It’s well positioned for hikes through waterfalls and rice terraces. The owner is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and served on the rooftop, which offers great views. The bathroom fan was so loud we didn’t want to turn on the light, and the drains can give the room a slight musty smell, but there are windows you can open to air it out.

Every morning we had breakfast on the rooftop with a view of the mountains—super cool—and the staff were very friendly, helping with scooter, taxi, and other rentals. In the village of Munduk, walking through rice paddies and waterfalls is easy (about 3 h).

I really liked the location and the friendly reception lady, who made it easy to find all the services from London and the taxi. Everything I could need was available, and the price‑quality ratio was good. The breakfast was a bit sparse, and over the three nights the room was never clean, so the hygiene level didn’t meet European standards. There was no air conditioning, but in Munduk it was fine without it. Dinner was good and affordable.
