I couldn’t find any faults. The hosts were lovely, the room was lush, the bed was comfy, and the place felt very warm and welcoming. Everything was perfect.

“Characterful quality location in the middle of an attractive town/large village.”

The breakfast choices were excellent, using local, high‑quality ingredients. Everything about the property suited a stay in the area perfectly. The only thing that bothered me was that my room was accessed by two flights of stairs, which was a bit hard with luggage. Also, the room didn’t include a workspace, which I’d expect. Both points are reasonable to expect given the location and the type of traveller Heriot’s usually attracts.

“Lovely B&B in a good location and great facilities.”

The location was great, the rooms were very clean, and the hearty breakfast offered plenty of options. The hosts were friendly and lovely people. I couldn’t fault anything.

“Great service”

The couple running the hotel were incredibly welcoming, clearly familiar with the area, and offered first‑class service, plenty of useful tips, and a fantastic breakfast. The only downside was the departure process.
