The owners were fantastic—super friendly, helpful, and understanding! The property was overall very clean, comfortable, and had an extremely homely feel. Tina the dog was also very, very cute! The location was a bit inconvenient, a little far from downtown, but the nearby restaurants and amenities were great. Hiromi let me borrow a bike, which made traveling a lot easier.

I liked everything. The family‑like atmosphere, two wonderful guests, I recommend the Japanese breakfast and tea ceremony. The strategic location is reachable from the station and castle via the red or blue line within 500 meters. The bed was extremely comfortable. No negatives.

The owner’s family were incredibly kind and helpful, especially Ms. Hiroshi whose thoughtful gestures made a big difference. The room was quiet, clean, and easy to use. Breakfast was a balanced Japanese spread that soothed my tired body. The mascot dog Tina was adorable and soothing. The house had a tea room, a cute little garden, and a lovely hina doll display in the entrance and living room. I really appreciated the comfortable and pleasant time here. However, getting to Kumamoto Station from the hotel takes a while because you need to use the JR and city tram. The washlet in the bathroom sometimes didn’t work, and there was no TV in the room (which I didn’t mind).

The rooms are roomy, spotless, and feel like home. There’s a tea room, a charming little garden, and an adorable dog. The owner, Hiromi, is a fantastic host and very friendly. The location is just a short tram ride from useful train connections and Kumamoto’s city center.
