The three meals were incredibly tasty and let us experience everyday life in Sri Lanka, and the tea‑picking activity was a lot of fun; there were no issues at all.

“Ruime kamer en kennismaking met traditionele manier van koken”

A kind host cooked meals for us in a traditional way, and the room was spacious with a very nice bathroom. Meena woke up very early to prepare breakfast for us, which we took with us to Horton Plains. The road to the park was terrible; we thought staying close to Horton Plains would be smart, but we ended up arriving at the park earlier in the morning if we had left from Nuwara Eliya.

“A truly authentic experience”

I felt this place offered a very authentic experience; it was humble, but everything I needed was there—the food was incredible and everyone was so hospitable. I had no way of contacting my family to tell them I had arrived safely, and the location was quite remote—my fault for not taking that into account.
