The hosts were friendly yet professional, the breakfast was lovely, the room/suite was very spacious, and tea/coffee facilities with fresh milk were provided, giving the place a very clean and homely feel.

Breakfast was healthy and included muesli, yoghurt, fresh fruit, toast, homemade jams, and an English‑style cooked breakfast with bacon, egg, sausage, and tomato (the best), plus fresh coffee, tea, and orange juice served in a lovely conservatory overlooking the garden; the two‑room suite is good for a party of relatives or close friends and can comfortably host up to four people, featuring a small sitting area and a TV in one room, a kettle for tea and coffee, ground coffee and a cafetiere, and fresh milk on request; the hosts were very helpful. The downside is that only single beds are available, maximizing room space but offering no double bed option; the bathroom contains just a washbasin, toilet, and shower, close enough to feel almost en suite for both rooms if four guests stay, and you need to be fit to climb two flights of stairs.

The hosts welcomed us warmly and the breakfast was great in a stylish winter garden; fresh flowers were on the room and homemade jam made the already abundant and fresh breakfast even better, and the most impressive was the incredible quiet of this oasis. The last few miles to the house are quite tiring because the roads are very narrow, but once you get there you’re rewarded.

A stunning house with a gorgeous bedroom and breakfast room, the hosts were very welcoming and kind. The breakfast featured homemade treats such as plum jam and locally sourced ingredients, and the house is situated in a glorious rural area of Devon.
