The Hotel Colosseum is located in a quiet city centre street. Its roof terrace offers stunning views of ancient Rome. Ancient landmarks, including the Coliseum and Santa Maria Maggiore Basilica, are within walking distance. Elegant rooms feature air conditioning, satellite TV, and parquet floors. A varied breakfast buffet is served, and amenities include private bathrooms with bath or shower and toiletries.

The hotel’s location and proximity to the metro/central station helped plan our activities. The Colosseum is a 10‑minute walk, Forum Romanum 12 minutes. The night lights of Rome offer a unique experience, and we had a chance to look at them from the Sky Bar. Overall we were satisfied with the accommodation. The size and layout of the 3‑bedroom room were not practical for us, but that doesn’t mean we couldn’t spend two nights there. I found the bathroom spacious relative to the room size. We felt there was no heating in the room, it was quite cool at night. In line with Italian customs, the blanket was wrapped in a “bed cover” that was the blanket. So we were cold. We saw no option to request a warmer blanket.

Nothing, because we were referred to another hotel upon arrival. The Colosseum canceled the booking and I lost 10 percent. I had to pay for the new hotel immediately.
