“nice Air Bnb type room, in a great location, did not fell like a B&B”

The room was roomy, but it was a converted top‑floor eaves room with sloping ceilings, so it felt cramped, especially for tall guests. The location is great for accessing Richmond and its attractions. There was no breakfast; when I asked on Friday evening about Saturday breakfast, the host said it was too late, gave me local café names, and the B&B owner didn’t greet me—only her daughter, who was polite but didn’t start a conversation. The place is an Air BnB, not a B&B.

The spot is very nice and clean, and the host is responsive, kind, and has lovely dogs. A big fridge was handy for all our stuff. The room didn’t suit three people: the ceiling was low, so we kept bumping our heads, and only one of the three beds could be used by adults. It was too warm in summer and the air‑conditioning was noisy, waking us up from heat or sound. The advertised common spaces feel limited because the family lives there, making it odd to interrupt.

“Wouldn’t return”

They insist you remove your shoes at the door, yet the owners’ clothes and personal items are left in the room, making it feel less like a B&B and more like staying in someone’s unwanted house.
