“Enjoyable, a little more of an older style experience.”

I enjoyed breakfast in the dining room with a view of the snowy mountain, and it was easy to walk to the ski run. Getting the bus to nearby resorts was convenient, and after skiing I liked walking to dinner at a place up the road or into town. We had asked months in advance if we could add our adult daughter to our twin room; the staff said it was fine and didn’t mention a fee, but when we arrived we were hit with a 50 % surcharge on top of the price for the three of us cramped in the room, which was not great.

The staff were friendly and welcoming, and they gladly picked us up from Kurohime when heavy snowfall stopped trains from reaching Myoko Kogen.

“Beautiful stay, relaxed vibe, exceptional fresh breakfast”

Breakfast was absolutely exceptional, the lodge had a very relaxed vibe, all amenities were great, and it was a fantastic stay that I highly recommend.

“Overall it is close to Kanko and there is a bus stop out the front that goes to other nearby mountains.”

It’s about a 5‑minute walk to Kanko and a 10‑minute walk into town, and having breakfast supplied each day made things easy. The place feels outdated and needs some work, and the older man isn’t as friendly as the rest of the staff.
