I was welcomed kindly in a somewhat dated but very clean hotel; it was fine for a stopover.

“Et godt hotel som mellemstation til en overnatning eller to.”

The hotel is centrally located in the city, with interesting places to walk around, a cozy little place, excellent breakfast, and good food at the restaurant; it works well as a layover for one or two nights. However, there is some traffic noise and the hotel is close to the railway line, though it didn't bother us at night. The staff were not as service‑oriented as we expected from German hotels, and they seemed a bit sluggish.

The hotel’s location was very central, the staff were very friendly and helpful, and they could give tips on what to see nearby. When we arrived, we found the door locked; we tried calling several times throughout the day, but no one answered. The official opening time of the restaurant was 17.00, and only at 17.15 a person let us in, without an apology. Our room was very basic, old‑fashioned, and overall very noisy; breakfast was very monotonous—just wheat rolls, pumpernickel, and whole‑grain bread slices, plus a raisin braid, eight of the same, boiled eggs, and muesli. The coffee selection was good, and the staff remained friendly.

A decent price for a charming town, free parking and a solid breakfast. The downside is the restaurant shuts on Monday, and all nearby eateries are also closed that day. A great pizza place is just a block north. I’d return, but skip Mondsy if I can.

The furniture, especially the bed and mattress, was already worn out.
