Bar Restaurant Hotel Shinjatari

The owners are great, but they only speak Albanian. The food can be tasty if you’re lucky, but the menu is written in some awful English that makes you guess what’s on the plate. Some dishes are really good, others are just for the very adventurous. The exchange rate from Lek to Euro is insane, and for €40 a night that’s a stretch. The shower barely cleans anything but yourself, and the toilets are always full. Thanks, but no thanks for the future.

I had a fantastic night at this spot. It’s right by the river, so the whole place feels super relaxed. My room was on the river side, and the sound of the water at night was just beautiful. The staff were warm and the bar and restaurant offered a solid range of food and drinks. Breakfast was included and absolutely tasty, which was a nice perk. All in all, it blew my expectations out of the water and I’d definitely return.
