I loved how close the hotel is to the beach and the breakfast was solid; nothing else to complain about.

“Great location”

The Fragiskos Hotel welcomed me warmly in a prime spot, the breakfast was great with stunning views from the dining room, rooms were modern and clean, and I’d definitely recommend it, though I wish there had been milk in my room alongside the tea and coffee facilities.

“Vous pouvez trouver mieux pour le même prix”

The hotel sits nicely in the centre next to the beach, rooms are very quiet and the parking is handy, but the breakfast manager was unpleasant and insisted people sit at two‑person tables even when the restaurant was empty, claiming “common sense,” the breakfast food was mediocre and didn’t match the quality of Crete cuisine found elsewhere, the coffee tasted awful and was watered down, the pancakes were flat pancakes, the pillows and bed were uncomfortable, there was no shampoo or shower gel, and the deluxe room felt like a single double room, very small.

“Prenotate e godetevi davvero Matala,la colazione ed il mare!”

The location is great, just a few steps from the sea for a wonderful dip, the breakfast is generous and caters to all tastes, rooms are spacious, clean with a comfortable bed, free parking is available in a very busy spot, the welcome and relaxed atmosphere feel like a vacation, and the only downside is the shower curtain, though the bathroom stayed clean if used carefully.

“Bel emplacement et literie confortable”

The place is well‑located and comfortable, but the breakfast could use better fruit juices and drinks, especially the cappuccino which was watered down.
